 The Teaninich 2013 is an independently bottled Highland single malt from Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers’ Carn Mor Strictly Limited range. Teaninich is a rarely seen name in the whisky world, making this limited-edition release an exciting opportunity to explore the unique character of this overlooked distillery.

What makes this expression truly special is its maturation in red wine casks—a departure from the more common bourbon or sherry influence. This aging process imparts a beautifully rich and complex profile, elevating Teaninich’s naturally bright and grassy spirit.

On the nose, expect ripe red berries, floral honey, and a touch of oak spice, balanced by a crisp malty freshness. The palate delivers layers of dark cherries, caramelized apples, and warming cinnamon, with a velvety texture and hints of toasted vanilla. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of dried fruit, gentle spice, and a whisper of tannic dryness from the red wine cask influence.
